This is going to be another short post. I seem to have plateaued. My doc wanted to boost me from 5mg to 7.5mg Zepbound dose but I wanted to stay on 5mg for another 3 month cycle. I now have two months of 5mg left in the fridge so I will burn through that then ask to boost up to 7.5mg dose.
The “effectiveness” of the med is either wearing off or my body is strongly protesting the weight loss. I am still down 25 lbs (same as August) and didn’t budge up/down so that’s the good news.
Part of it is my fault too though, I have stopped walking on the treadmill because I’ve been chained to my desk doing work. I have also been snacking, likely due to work related stress. I have a pile of work due in October so I’m hoping after I get past this rush, I’ll be back on track exercising, reduced snacking and weight loss.
Biggest Challenge
The biggest challenge for me is constipation despite eating beans, whole wheat bread and daily Metamucil. This is the prime reason I am hesitating bumping from 5mg to 7.5mg. The doc told me that patients complain about constipation, vomiting and nausea at the 7.5 mg level and I don’t want to make my current condition worse much less add nausea and vomiting.
